My car won't move when in any gear

Asked by audiguy81 Jul 16, 2017 at 05:37 PM about the 2002 Audi A6 3.0 quattro Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 Audi a6 Quattro. Its a 5 speed
automatic. Long story short, I jacked it up on the
transmission pan. Started fine, but when it's put in
any gear, it won't go at all. I looked at the pan and it
does have a noticeable dent in it. Is this something
i can fix by just replacing the pan, or is this going to
be more than that? I know I will have to change out
the tranny fluid and filter in the process, just hoping
I can do this myself and save some coin. Any help
is much appreciated as I need to get this car back
up and running asap. Thanks.

and this is why you use designated mounts to jack the cars up with. and the subframe is anouther one of those places that is considered a no no to jack on.
