2012 Chrysler 200 won't start and no lights turn on (radio, interior car lights, etc.)

Asked by Sortiz100 Feb 15, 2019 at 12:27 AM about the 2012 Chrysler 200 Touring Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I have a 2012 Chrysler 200 touring V6, and I did not had
any problems with it until today. Left the car sitting for a
couple of hours, and came back, when I tried to start the
car it won't start and won't make any ticking noises, plus
the nor the dashboard nor any lights turn on. Called a friend
of mine to help me jump start the car, and it turns on ,but it
would turn off immediately. Need help asap! Is it an ignition
problem? Alternator? Battery is brand new, but could it
possibly be the battery?

When you hook jumper cables to battery, do you get power to everything (lights, dash, radio, etc.?) Do you have a meter to check voltage on the battery? Your battery may have died and caused the ECM (engine computer) to lose enough settings it may need to reprogrammed to start the car. (Google how this is a problem for Chyslers.)

Get rid of silly crystler and trade in for a toyota, save you much trouble, educate yourself on cars, and check out Scotty kilmers videos on you tube of what to buy, what not to buy, Manufacturers tried to shut him but but his response is awesome, “ all I’m doing is telling the truth to consumers

Realironman, yeah tbh I watch Scotty for like how to do easy fix for example when water gets in your headlight to drill tiny holes on the bottom for it to clear out. But never checked his videos about the best and worst cars manufacturers and his opinions until now, guess I'll have to buy an Acura more expensive to fix, yet more reliable than any American manufacturer.
