ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT FLASHING NORMALLY INDICATES A MISFIRE DETECTED, YOU NEED TO HAVE THE CAR SCANNED ON A COMPUTER AND RECTIFIED ASAP AS IT COULD RESULT IN YOU DAMAGING YOU CAT CONVERTOR
No ,do not keep driving it as you will damage the catalyst, get it scanned as soon as possible to determine what the problem is.All cars that have OBD II technology also have a warning system for any emission control damaging event, such as misfiring, which more than likely is what the problem is.Coil packs are an issue as well as worn plugs or a leaking valve cover gasket,if the gasket leak is severe enough it fills the tubes that the spark plugs are in and starts causing short circuits in the secondary ignition,as well as wiring issues at the coil packs. So do not delay get it looked at ,soon
Thanks for your help! WIll take it in asap.
odds are its a misfire, this happened in my 07 jetta. check your coils!!!
I heard it might be an axle or cv joint issue. I'll have the coils checked too. Thx.
