Can I use a driveshaft from a 2000-2004 dakota in my 2005 dakota diffrent body's but same drivetran.

Asked by Cherise Feb 07, 2018 at 10:54 AM about the 2005 Dodge Dakota SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my driveshaft broke and is dented and I
need to put a new one on. Now looking
through eBay it tells me that 2000 to 2011
driveshafts are the same with the 4.7
Magnum. Is this true and can I use a
driveshaft from a 2000 to a 2004 on my
2005. It seems right because they have the
4.7 I'm just not sure do to the different
body styles

Go to a site like www.tascaparts.com and look up the part numbers for the various years. If the part numbers are the same they will interchange.
