Shouldn't be the fuel pump. It sounds like a problem with the ignition system. I'm drawing a blank on the name of the part, but it's where all spark plug wires come back together. There is a round disc like thing and another thing inside that can wear down? Come some one help me on my terminology? I had the same problem and just completely redid the entire ignition system and the problem was fixed. Sorry I can't think any more this week (my brain is shot and now on beer), but I'm sure someone knows what I'm trying to say. Let me know if this helps! good luck, Greg

Distributor and rotor! Check your rotor. Mine was completly worn out. Fuel filter could be an issue as well. For the cost, go ahead and swap it. Good luck!
