Replace the battery. Drain the gas tank and refill it
with fresh gasoline and a bottle of Drygas. Check
your fluids and top off as needed. Check the belts,
hoses, brake lines, and tires. If anything is dry rotted
it will need to be replaced (tires, belts, hoses). Then
start it up and let it run for about an hour. If it's an
automatic transmission, run the shifter through all
the gears a few times. Then shut it off and change
the oil and filter. Once you take it back on the road
drive moderately and listen for strange noises and
be alert for strange smells too. Hopefully the brake
rotors will not be too rusty, but if they are, they'll
have to be replaced. Your first few brake
applications may be a little funky. But once you stop
a few times they should be ok. So, as I said, drive
moderately at first. If the brakes continue to be not
right, further inspection will be needed. Hope that
helps! Jim
