Changed alternator and now electrical is messed up, need help

My son has a 2012 Cherokee 3.6 automatic.  The alternator was whining and the battery loosing charge so he changed id out yesterday. Now the wipers won't go off a it's rought going into gear especially reverse. Checked fuses all fine and don't know what to do now. He checked connections and all look good.  No problems with electrical until alternator was changed.

Howdy, check with local auto parts store if local to see if you can borrow a reader. With all these computer issues nowadays, especially with electronics, the alternator may or may not had been the issue. The auto parts place can also put the old alternator on their machine and verify it failed. If not, put the old one back on and see if issue(s) disappear, hope this helps.
