I do not think the rain has anything to do it with. I'd just go ahead and replace the spark plugs and coil pack. That should work.
Possibly a cracked coil or wire issue? Pull the plugs and have a look as well. Good Luck!

Use dielectric grease on the electrical connections including to the spark to boot connection.

If it has replaceable spark plug wires replace them too. But first check for good connections on all the electrical connections.
We had that problem and a water leak running down from the windshield was wetting the top of the motor and shorting out the coil. It kept shorting out different coils and we kept replacing them until we realized it was happening after driving in the rain. If you can find the leak and stop the water, you will save yourself a lot of money. Sounds crazy, but we put a large garbage bag over the top of the motor and it hasn’t happened again.
Guru, had the same issue made a plate to go over the top over my engine so the rain would drain off the side and not into plugs.
