Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My '03 dodge Dakota will turn over and crank but it is needing to turn over
many times before starting and has been getting worse.  Recently while
driving is just shut off completely. I put it in park and it will restart after turning
over a bunch. Once running it can go for a while with no issue except the
recent shutting off that has occurred 3 times.   Thought it was a fuel pump so
replaced that and it did not fix the issue... any input would be greatly
appreciated!

Thanks Mark the check engine light has been on since I purchased for an O2 sensor, which is part of the problem. Maybe it is time to get that fixed to see if i get any more codes that can help me pinpoint the problem come up. I changed the fuel pump which the fuel filter is part of, so i can at least rule that out.
