Airbag light is on

Asked by Guru9XYFV Jun 20, 2017 at 11:53 AM about the 2012 Jeep Compass Latitude

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My airbag light is on in my 2012 Jeep Compass and
I was wondering if it has anything to do with the
seatbelt because I had recently had my seat belt
locked behind my passanger seat and had
someone takeout the seat and I think they must
have not connected something back together to
make my airbag light go on?

There is a recall on 2008-2012 Jeeps with regards to an airbag issue. Please investigate if your vehicle is affected by this recall before attempting to "fix" on your own. Chrysler Fiat will pay and as of June 2016 my vehicles parts were in stock for the repair. I am scheduled for service in 30 Days at my Dealership and have confirmed there will be no labour/parts cost to me.
