Car turning over and not starting.

Asked by Tabitha Oct 21, 2017 at 09:17 PM about the 2003 Dodge Stratus SXT Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Dodge Stratus.  Last week I was
involved in a small fender bender. I was rear ended
while parked in a parking lot. Unknown who
actually did the damage. I was able to drive away
and drive about 15 miles. I went over a bump and
the car died. I have had a new battery, new coil
pack, starter , fuel and starter relay switch and
another 20amp fuse replaced. There is no fire from
the coil. Help not sure what else it could be.

How did u determine you don't have a spark? It sounds like a fuel pump issue. Turn the key to the run position ,,but don't start ...as soon as you have the key in run ..you should hear a low humming noise for about 5 seconds then stop ,, if you don't hear it than your fuel pump may not be working That would make sense if you were hit in the rear ,,,however you also said that you drove about 15 miles ... I may be wrong but you may have a bent or restricted fuel line, that 15 miles has me stumped but if your right and I'm wrong then your crank shaft position sensor may have become dislodged No worries if it did bease that's an easy fix... I saw your pic and I wish that you were close because I would fix it ... you have enough on your shoulders
