Car will turn over but not start.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hello, I am the owner of a 2005 Dodge Stratus that seems to have some
issues with Starting. I can hear the fuel pump, as well as have checked the
relays and fuses. I had to replace the serpentine belt because the old one was
a little messed up. What can I do to both Diagnose and fix this issue without
having to spend a ton of money?

First thing to check is to see if there is any spark. What size is this engine?
I am assuming the engine is turning over but has a hard time to start, run. Is this the case? Or is it with the starter not wanting to turn the engine over?

The engine will do a full turn over. But it will not start, I can hear the fuel pump running and I have fuel running into the engine so I'm at a loss of what to do.
Ok, then there is no spark. I think about all you could check because of your abilities, would be to take the coil off and have it tested at an auto parts store. Also the next most common thing is the crankshaft sensor. I believe the auto parts store may be able to test that also. All you do with that is run 12 to it, then it becomes a magnet, so you just put it against something metal to see if it is attracted to it.

Crankshaft sensor would be my first guess.... It's always a damn sensor... ☹️
Have an 05 stratus it wouldnt crack over and sounded like a dead battery but after changing the battery starter and alternator it turned out to be the ignition switch...if ur key is feeling lose in the lock cylinder or feels warm after u turn it off i would suggest going with this option first could save u a lot of money and a relatively easy fix
