Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Right now for a bunch of reasons, a last-year top-trim RL is top of our list of possible luxury cars for a couple years down the road. Would appreciate thoughts from those who have actually owned the car or had extensive driving experience in it.

I actually just bought a *98* Acura. Though it is pretty old, it still may be the best car I ever bought..

I own a 2012 RL, in Lunar Silver Metallic with black interior and gray headliner. Bought her second hand from a previous adult-driven lease. Absolutely stunning, refined and gorgeous car. I did some research and found there were only 379 RLs produced in the 2012 which was the last model year, so that makes this car even more special. I've driven her for 2 years and I absolutely love her, she has every creature comfort imaginable, made before they stopped putting CD players in cars, and has 305 horses under the hood so the power is there when you need it. I love the unique nose and tail treatment the 2011s and 2012s got, which set them apart from earlier models. I plan on keeping her forever, you can keep your SUVs and Jeeps, Detroit. I notice quite a few RL predecessors out there, adult driven, which still look good and are true survivors; with the tried and true Honda powertrain, and if you treat 'em right with proper maintenance, these RLs will see 20+ years with no problem. If anyone out there has a 2012 RL (last of the line) I am interested in starting an enthusiast club.
