I am in the market for a newer Midsize SUV what is a good buy. I'm considering the Infiniti JX35 but, not really sure. Anyone have any ideas.

Nice car. Check out the Ford Explorer.
I'm going to shock everyone who knows me when I tell you that if you have the money buy the LEXUS RX350.
Unfortunately, Infinity has an INCONSISTENT track record.
Sorry, the Ford Explorer is not in the same league with the Asian market, except Infinity. Looks at Toyota as well. Stay away from German cars, they are problematic, and cost a fortune to maintain.
Look at the Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento.... Good cars for the money.....

2013 or newer Nissan Pathfinder AWD. Extra money for platinum model would be well spent. A 6foot person will fit in the 3rd row. Expect $.04/ mile in maintenance ($1200/30,000), that's my average cost since new. I have never bragged about a vehicle so much as my Pathfinder.

My kids received a good trade in price on their 2004 RX350 from several dealers (a high demand vehicle). They picked up a new RX350. I like the space and economics of my Pathfinder, but, for real luxury, then I'll take Lexus over Infinity.
F_O_R-. Take another close look at the Hyundai/Kia line... They are nipping at the heels of Japanese cars.... They've come a long way. Not the cars you remember from the past... This guy reviews cars in Australia, really funny, articulate and well informed. By the way, he has some great praise for Subaru. http://autoexpert.com.au/hyundai-santa-fe/
