Front end noise

Asked by Storminwolf Dec 20, 2018 at 11:34 AM about the 2013 INFINITI JX35 AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2013 infinity jx-35. It has a
front end clunk noise when going
over bumps. It sounds like it’s on the
drivers side. Checked the front end
and everything is tight. Can’t get it to
make the sound in the garage, so not
sure what to check. Has anyone had
a similar issue with these cars?
Any info would be greatly
appreciated.

My thoughts are possible lower ball joint (only way to properly check as far as my experience is to suspend vehicle and get a large bar under the wheel and pry up to check movement) Other ideas are upper strut mount or worn strut piston. My nickle is the lower ball joint. Good Luck!

It's your strut mount I had the same problem and I was close to replacing the lower control arm but did a more detail inspection and found out it was the strut mount
