Always check the 12 volt battery age. As it ages it may drop below minimum voltage needed to maintain the low voltage operating systems. It is also the backup braking system and when it drops below minimum voltage it can cause the hybrid system failure, pull over and stop car indication to come on. After a few minutes the battery voltage can rise above minimum allowing the car to start again. The warning indicators clear as if nothing happened. A good hybrid mechanic can resolve this quickly. I've yet to find a Kia service department that can identify and fix this problem.
