Am I safe in my car with doors locked if someone tries to open the door?

Just got a 2013 Honda Accord.  They key fob when I'm in range will let me open the door
by putting my hand behind the door handle.  What prevents someone from opening the
door when I'm in the car with doors locked?  (Imagining a scary scene where I jump in my
car and lock the doors and the villan just opens the door and kills me).  Thanks for your
help!

Proximity key. It has to do with you being in the driver's seat. Occupied. Noboby can open the door with you in the car and doors locked, like my Corolla is idiot proof about locking keys in the car....the doors will not lock with the drivers seat unoccupied....and vice versa....same principal, relax, you are safe.

The trunk to my Honda Accord 2001 was broken into. But they only stole the key cylinder from the trunk key hole. I am suspecting their intent is to use it to model a key so they can come another day and simply open my car door and drive away. Has anyone heard of this being done by car thieves?
