Tranny Noise

Asked by co1615 Dec 03, 2019 at 11:12 PM about the 2013 GMC Terrain SLT2 AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My wife got pushed backwards about 20' by a T/T unit today. She was stopped & in drive & couldn't get into reverse in time before it backed into her. Now while driving it seems louder like a wheel bearing noise. The T/T company doesn't want to do insurance but I'm worried about drivetrain damage. What kind of damage would be expected to the drivetrain & also the front end components?  Thanks in advance!

If they don't want to use their insurance you need to get quotes and make them pay for all the repairs. I would push to have them buy the car outright.

Of course they didn't want to do insurance, because that might cost THEM money or leave THEM on the hook for the damage they may have caused your car. Do yourself a favor and CALL YOUR INSURANCE immediately. Don't waste your time talking to THEIR insurance, let your insurance company go to bat for you, that's what you pay them for.
