Gas pedal does not accelerate or increase rpm sometimes

Asked by GuruHK97B Jul 28, 2019 at 11:45 AM about the 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5 S

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Once is 20 times, my car does not respond to gas pedal, even if i press pedal
until to floor or how long i keep it pressed. RPM falls to 1 and stays there. It
behaves like i have not pressed the gas paddle. The moment i unpress the
pedal and press again, it starts working again flawlessly . There are no obd
code identified by Nissan dealer. Not sure whats going with it.

Mine is doing exactly the same thing. Mine tends to do it on the freeway when going up an incline. Took it to the dealer, but they said they cant check anything if it isn't doing it when they drive, or if there is no record of it in the computer (since there isn't any code). Is there anything in the transmission that could be causing this? If not, could it be the electronic throttle control that is intermittently not working?

I seem have to similar problem but without any engine light or code. Intermittently the car wont rev up when I press the pedal. Changed the air filter and made sure the sensor is fine but still ongoing problem. Not sure what to do next. I have an Altima 2013.
