I have a 2000 Durango AWD. I broke my cv axle. Have to drive it in 4Hi temp otherwise it makes a really bad noise from that side. I'm not using highway. Only in town which only goes to like 40-50 max

I would not drive it at all. You may severely damage your car and you may have a serious safety issue as well.
