2013 dodge journey headrest deployed.

Asked by GuruDWPH5 Aug 15, 2017 at 09:15 AM about the 2013 Dodge Journey R/T AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I went to get into my car the other day and noticed
that the headrest had deployed.  I had my brother
look at it and when he tried to reset it he noticed
that a small black piece had broke. Has this
happened to anyone else?  Keep in mind that I have
not been in any accident with this vehicle.  Also
how do I go about fixing it?

Yes while I was driving it smaked my 14 yr old hard in the back of the head. No accident, no bump in the road, just deployed.
