Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello,
I need help! What could it be?? I’ve taken my car
to 2 different mechanics and they can’t figure it out.
I have a lil girl with rare brain disease and don’t
have the money to pay for the dealer to look at it
and need my car in case of emergency.

My issue.. Engine check light cones on, ETC, and
the (lightning bolt) light... Diagnostic error code
P2173 Throttle actuary, high air flow detected.
Mechanic did a smoke test to check for vacuum
leak. He said nothing, all good. Replaced the
throttle body. Next day same issue/code. He said
defective throttle and returned the part to dealer. He
replaced it again and the wires around it. Took it
home and overnight, same issue. Any idea what it
could be? Ugh  thank you!

I’m having this same problem, checked the hoses and had the throttle body cleaned and then later replaced. After putting the new one in about 7 hours ago, I’m still having the same problem. My hands are tied and I have no idea what to do. Did you have any luck fixing yours?

This happened to me! Changed the throttle body and all components then did a smoke test and it was leak from my engine valve manafolds !
