Do we sell or keep fixing? 2013 Kia Soul

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Kia Soul base model, 6 speed, 145K -- and a deciding whether to
keep repairing. Likely needs an 02 sensor -- the light went on (again)
yesterday. And it's shimmying this a.m. The other thing is - i need to fill up oil
every 400 miles or so (down a quart or more). My mechanic suggested this
vs. digging in to see why it was losing oil. That was 3 years ago! So... may
have been a bad decision on my part. New alternator in late 2019. Earlier
2019, another big fix (car had to be towed). Will need new tires/brakes by
end of 2020. And clutch is original (and seems fine) We love this car. Plus -- I
own it. Car payments ugh. Still -- $1000 a year maybe to fix in the next 3-4
years? Suggestions? Opinions?

Sounds like you should sell it. Everything that has not yet been replaced will need it soon.
