If your vehicle is rated for E85 you can use it, but you are better off switching when the tank is almost empty. You will lose 15-20% fuel economy, so if the E85 isn't that much cheaper then stick with regular gasoline. If your car is not rated for E85 then putting it in will turn on a bunch of emissions and warning lights.

im not in this but im going to get a ford truck and i want to know what gas to use.

E15 should not be used in any car except Flex Fuel cars. I don't know that any new cars are rated to use with E15. The EPA says you can use it for 2001 and up cars but they don't give a darn about your engine.

Using premium in a car designed for regular is a bad idea. Premium burns slower than regular, so it is still burning hot when it gets to the catalytic converter. Bad for the converter and performance is lost because of the slower burn means less of the energy is used in the power stroke. This doesn't happen in high compression engines because the higher compression makes the fuel burn faster. That's why regular fuel pings in them. It burns too fast. .
