Right rear turn signal fuse keeps blowing. On 2013 Chevy 2500 express

The fuse for the right rear turn signal keeps blowing out any ideas why this would be happening?

I checked all the wiring and replaced the bulb socket from a salvage yard but that one must be bad too. And you can't just buy the socket you have to buy the whole tail light assembly now...

See if it has a ground, I would trace it back to the fuse panel with a voltmeter, it could be a short and socket is fine.

I searched all exposed wiring for shorts the wiring harness runs through the headliner. I guess I have to get my meter out.

Tested the sockets and they have continuity the right turn signal doesn't blow the fuse with the socket and trailer lights disconnected. If I plug in the wiring harness for the turn signal it immediately blows the fuse under the hood as soon as I turn on the right turn signal.

Scratch that there is continuity to ground with the fuse removed so I must have a dead short between the plug for the harness
