Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1986 Bronco 2 EFI 2.9  wont start. I just purchased Bronco 2. Vehicle cranks over but will not run unless I spray starter fluid in it. I have replaced in tank fuel pump and fuel pump relay.

Do you hear the fuel pump engaging when you turn the key on? I had the same problem on my 1988 Ford Bronco 2 and I had a loose wire in the wiring harness. I was only getting 9 volts so the relay was not operating. Once I repaired the wiring, the fuel pump engaged and the engine started right up.

Very nice looking Bronco2 I do hear fuel pump engaging. Replaced internal pump and fuel regulator by the distributer. No pressure at the schrader valve. Starts for a few seconds with starting fluid, but no fire without starting fluid. Do you have any suggestions. Thank you in advance.
