1992 Dodge Dakota with a fuel problem.

Asked by jeanofarc Nov 25, 2015 at 09:09 AM about the 1992 Dodge Dakota LE LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It was running fine then coughed and sputtered and stalled and wont restart.
Could have been small backfires as it was stalling like as if it jumped the
timing? Where should I start with diagnosis? I just bought the truck and don't
know about previous maintenance but there were spark plug wires laying on
the floor so maybe they were changed recently.

Could be timeing, but i think you may need to check it for fuel,a bad fuel pump will do this all so.
