2003 Ford Focus shakes in low RPM

So my 2003 Ford Focus shakes when  in low RPM.
It is the worst when in reverse or when stopping at
a traffic light or stop sign. We thought it would be
worse when we turned on the AC or radio but it
seems that when those are on it makes no
difference. When driving down the road either
highway or residential the shaking is nonexistent it
is only when the RPMs are very low. Any
information that can help get us closer would help.

The basics for a rough idle, check for a leak of some kind, fuel--egr--vacuum. How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? Some fords have trouble with maf system, just unplug it, start it up and take it for a drive. If it does better, check that system. Check and clean anything that has to do with idle air system.
