I just had this happen this week and googled/YouTubed possible solutions. I have an ‘09 Civic and I’m a single female living alone so budgeting is key and I was trying to avoid spending $$$ at the dealer! I found out the solution is simply replacing your high beam lights. DRLs are your high beam lights running on a dimmer setting during the day—as long as your high beam bulbs are good they will automatically be on during the day while your car is running (even if lights are off). I was able to buy a twin set for $22 at an auto parts store, lift the hood, and replace the bulb and presto—the DRL notification is no longer on my dash! Hopefully this helps others who have this issue!
