Throttle Body Sensor issues

Asked by Sharon Mar 26, 2020 at 12:01 PM about the 2014 Jeep Patriot Limited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a 2014 Jeep Patriot , the throttle
sensor warning light keeps going off and stalls
out quite a bit and getting worse . Took it to a
mechanic twice and the car will run fine for a week
or so then acts up . Mechanic changed throttle
sensor and gas paddle , do i need to inform them
to look at fuel pump and or fuel injectors being the
problem is still on going ?

They may need to replace the throttle body itself or the injector ports if they have not gotten results simply by cleaning it free of carbon.

I’m having the same problem with my 2014 Patriot, but only in Drive. Try using the auto stick and shift the gears yourself. No problem whatsoever when I do this. At least buying me some time until I can replace the throttle body.
