Model A backfires coasting at any speed severely. Any ideas would be appreciated.

It has been timed. Float has been adjusted once or twice. It's a wonder the muffler remains on the car. Thanks for any ideas.

I had this trouble before with my 1927 Model A. It turned out to be a partly clog in the fuel tank. The tank was starting to clog up from the inside of the tank flaking up and falling off. Had the tank restored never had the problem again. Look into that. Hope that helps.
