CarGurus Valuation limitations

Asked by Craig Nov 10, 2018 at 09:07 PM about the 2014 Subaru Forester 2.0XT Premium

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

When I bought my car, I had the factory add about $1,000 in
options/accessories to the car, and I also had the dealer add leather seating
surfaces which was another $1500.  However, due to limitations of the
original Trim level of the vehicle, CarGurus gives me no way to get credit for
any of these (other than the fog lights) and says my car will be $2,000
overpriced.  How can I remedy this?  If I can't, I will not be able to list my
vehicle on CarGurus as a private seller, due to the "overpriced" label being
wrongly applied.

Usually added items have little value when it comes to selling a vehicle. List it some where else or describe in the comments the information about you add-ons.
