What is the color code on the steering column, for the turn signal and start switch on a 1984 f-150
Are you selecting the group of parts used to build the column and select which column is installed in that platform at the factory? The paint markings on the switches is best found today, by inspecting a column in a wrecking yard that is unmolested. I can attest to the paint marker color being there, but Ford parts has never asked me for it. We have used that as an indicator for whether one had been previously replaced, when our files did not have a file for that vin. If memory serves, they were bright green, blue, red or yellow markings if that is what you mean, compare to another
unless this is a serious investigation, in which case that info has already been provided to the authority for identification among other types of identifying marks or engineering numbers. I hope one of us is addressing this like you are thinking. If you want to paint your upper mast jacket, you get that paint from the parts counter at your ford dealer or discuss your choices for a parts store that carries that type of paint today. We could get a very nice matching finish with that paint from NAPA. If we havent figured out yet, what you mean, please elaborate.
