Driver door on my 2014 Ford Escape won’t latch

Have you looked at the mechanism on the door itself to make sure it isn't stuck in the open position? That happens sometimes. If it is, you should be able to pop it free using just your finger. You will want to oil it once you fix the issue IF that is what it is.

If it doesn't latch at all, it's stuck or latch on door frame is loose. if only ajar condition, you'll need to adjust the latch screws on the door frame.
