My 2014 twice has gone from automatic drive into manual shifting. I thought it was fluke the first time, however, after idling for 20 minutes, and not touching the lever, it went into a manual shift m

Have you taken it in to be looked at? I have a 2014 Durango Limited and it's happened to my wife 3 times in the past 2 days. The engine revved and RPM's went way up. She pulled off the road and had to turn off car. She waited a couple minutes and started car and everything was fine. Then same thing happened next day. I've driven it since with no issue. I'm bringing it to dealer but it's frustrating cause you can't reproduce the issue when you want mechanic to see it. Your the only one I've read online that has same exact issue. Hopefully more people post this issue.

This has also happened with our 2014 Durango Limited on at least 6 occasions. We have taken it in four times, they've replaced the transmission, and it happened again. We are going to be pursuing the lemon law since the Dodge service center is not able to fix the problem. Are you still having this problem with your Durango arbitrarily kicking into manual transmission at a low gear?

It did it about a month ago....stopped at red light, hit gas pedal, all car did was revv up really high and not move. I hadn't touched anything, just stopped at red light! I'm patiently waiting for it to happen to my husband. It does it a lot less than when I first bought it. Keep us updated! I'm sure we will see a recall soon, even though they deny it can happen
We took it in and they updated it with latest rom. It hasn't happened since but who knows. We don't like the economy mode cause the car delays it's shifting pattern and it can be dangerous trying to accelerate in merging. The radio also has lost its presets. Don't expect these things when you spend 40k for a car and dealer has no fix for this stuff. Hope you get s better resolution
This just happened to my wife. She called me asking how to get it back to automatic. I'm curious, why does this only happen when wives are driving.
