Chrysler T&C van electric issues and check engine light

while driving the wipers turn on, all electric signs on dash light up, speedometer doesn't work but car still drives.  And the check engine light is on....  Doesn't happen all the time.  Just bought the car used 2 days ago.  Any thoughts?

As far the wipers go you do not have the wipers In the intermediate mode do you that is when you can taylor the wipers to come on for a couple of seconds to a few minutes? And the speed meter most likely the cable going to the transmission that senses the speed has come loose or bad and the check engine light you will have to get the code or codes read at a shop or parts store if they do that.

firebird338, thanks, no wipers are uncontrollable at that point as is everything! It's like a bad movie. I'm taking to dealer tomorrow, thanks for the answer!
