stabilitrak" and traction control issues

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2014 Silverado that appears to be going through the same issue as of
today. It's been fine and then all of a sudden this morning, it started throwing a
"service stabilitrak" and the traction control is off completely. Has anyone come
up with a resolution with GM on this?

First you need to get the fault codes with an OBDII scanner plugged into the diagnostic port below the steering wheel under the dash. Then share those codes with this forum. This needed first because several things can cause the failures you mention. The codes will help to identify the problem source(s).

I have the same issue but took in to the GM dealer and they say it wasnt doing it when I brought it in so they couldnt get a code to find the issue. As soon as I pulled away it started doing it again and hasnt stopped. It dings every 3 min or so the stability light and break light pop on then break light goes off but stability stays on. When I first turn the key on it shows no lights til after driving for a few min which could be why they cant pull a code? Idk frustrating as heck! Any advice?!

I recommend you buy an OBDII scanner at some retailer (e.g., Walmart) for $19.99. It's worth it and you can read the codes yourself (it comes with instructions...it's easy). This can save you a lot of time and money. I also bought an OBDII extension cable so that I can have the scanner connected even while driving. This will help you to get the error code(s) when the problem occurs. Share those codes with this forum when you get them.
