anyone have problems with thier 2004 4x4 GMC canyon pick up, 45 days I have spent 2500.00

I have received two letters talking about valve seats and the other about the gas cap being defective has anyone had any of
these problems occur on their 2004 canyon, as stated I have just spent 2500.00 on vehicle repairs and I am just beside
myself

its because its the losest on the truck totum pole for GM and its also because its a GM they already admited to the public in an interview that their product didnt even meet the same quality rating as the average out of all the cars. canyon/s10/sonoma all of them have a lot of probablems over the years you cant really find one with out at least 2 problems with it.

Gm has on going issues with the inline 5 cylinder engines. The major issue is miss fire codes - after performing a compression and cylinder leak down test, if any are out of spec then a new cylinder head is required - sometimes that's all it needs but it very labour intensive - speak with your dealer. sometimes it will need new cam shafts as well as lifters, valves and springs. The dealer i've worked at has had up to canyons/colorados in the shop all needing cylinder head replacement.

i have a 2006 GMC canyon with about 80,000 miles on it and have had 0 problems just a little alignment issues from playing in the woods but thats all
