Why is my engine shutting off?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My engine keeps shutting off when I'm stopped or if I
adjust my ac or heat. I have to put it in park and press on
the gas in order to get it started again. I took it to the
mechanic and the couldn't find anything. The did several
test drives and hooked it up to the computer. What could be
wrong??
