How can I get my 2002 Ford Explorer transmission to stop slipping going into second gear?
I have a 2002 Ford Explorer with 135,000 miles on it. It has begun to slip (the engine revs slightly) going into second gear. I've looked on the net and found that this is common. Is Ford going to stand behind the issue and handle the repair? OR -- Is there a cost effective way to get the transmission repaired?
