GMC Jimmy 99- won't turn over

My Jimmy will not turn over. All of the lights come
on, I can hear the fuel pump, but when I turn the
key, not a sound. Any suggestions before j spend a
crap load of money to try fixing it?

Check your relay center located under the hood, possible bad ignition fuse or starting relay, both are low cost repairs.

It could also be the starter itself. Have someone gently tap the starter with a ball peen hammer while you try turning the engine over. If it starts, replace the starter.

Honestly Its probably your fuel pump my was doing the same thing could hear it turn on but it wasn't get enough fuel to the engine

my 1999 GMC Jimmy SLS 4x4 4.3L vortec check engine light came on other day on my way too work it started loosing power so I pumped the gas peddle a bunch of times it then picked up speed again then started doing it again when I got home I turned off my vechile then proceeded to try and start it again and all it did was turn over but wouldn't start

    So I had the GMC WITH STARTING ISSUES. I believe it was my head gasket that went. The reason it wouldnt start at times i believe it was sucking coolent into the cylinder making it hard to start.
