Horn

Asked by Sparky060971 Mar 04, 2019 at 01:54 AM about the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4WD

Question type: General

Hi, I have recently bought a 2015 Overland V8. In the manual it says about
having the option for the horn to beep when locking the car. I cannot find the
option. Can anybody tell me if it should be available or is it a issue with
Connect.
Cheers

That's an easy one. With the engine running, go into Settings on the main screen. There is an option for 'Doors & Locks". under that is a list with one of the options being 'Sound Horn with Lock'. Select the box to enable or disable it.

Oh, and the Settings can be found under the 'Apps' on the main screen.

Thanks, I guessed that were it should have been but it is not shown. Is it possible for it do disappear? Should it be available for this vehicle? I have taken it back to the dealer and was told that was not available for my car.

That is odd. I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee Limited 3.0 EcoDiesel (picture above from my vehicle). I would not think the UConnect system would be different. My UConnect system was updated last year. The system displayed a message that it would be upgraded (via satellite connection) and it completed successfully.
