When running the Heat or A/C intermitted clicks can be hear near the control
panel. Sounds like cold plastic popping or cracking as it expanding. I have
looked on different forms some say an actuator I don't know.
It's most likely the temperature door actuator under the dash or the mode door actuator, also under the dash. There's a little motor and plastic gears in the actuator that wear and jump over each other instead of moving smoothly. The jumping is the clicking you're hearing. Hope that helps! Jim
