Help i am buying an f10 and no vin number on engine bay

Hello, can someone please help? I am buying an f10 528i 2015 with M- Kit, the
dealer's picture on the engine does not have a vin plate, I check pictures of
another car same model and I see the vin plate in the metal that goes across in
front of the engine but not on mine. could it be it was fixed from an accident?
(Carfax says no accidents) or some just may not have it there?
