Better towing performance

I recently purchased a 2015 1500 Z71 LT. It has the 5.3L with 3.42 gears, I got the truck because of the deal the dealership made me since it was a demo truck and only had 3400 miles on it. I pull a camper with a 7400 GVWR. I have added the firestone helper bags to the rear-end, a cold air intake, and a Bully Dog GT Platinum Gas tuner. Since I am towing a heavier camper, would it be beneficial for me to swap the 3.42 gears out with some 3.73 and add an aftermarket tranny cooler.

Yes however keep in mind that the rear end on that truck really wasn't designed to pull something of that weight, especially up hill
