I need to remove the plastic fascia covering the gas tank in order to install my trailer hitch and there are plastic nuts in the front and push pin connectors in the rear and I do not know the correct way to remove them to remove the fascia so can someone tell me how they are removed?

The link above is for Toyota owners website. If you register there you can get a ton of information about your car, personalized with service records and more. Including warranty information. It has a Q & A forum similar to this one. Have your VIN ready. Anyway, I don't know about removing the gas tank cover, but the owners manual states towing a trailer is not recommended. And " Not recommended" means that if you install a trailer hitch your warranty will be voided. My suggestion is wait until the 36 month/36,000 mile basic warranty has passed before installing a permanent trailer hitch. It's my opinion that your Corolla could easily pull a trailer, a small, light one with a very light tongue weight. The CVT is STILL NOT PROVEN as a reliable transmission and Toyota puts that in to cover their rear. But if/when you do, have it done by a professional, a shop that will know what to do with the gas tank cover.
