changed my timing chain in my ford expedition an now it wont turn over, all it does is
click. i changed the starter checked all ground wires, checked the timing and tried to turn
the crank but only turned about a 1/4 inch.truck sat up for 7 months.

Are you sure the timing chain was installed correctly? If yes and with it having set for so long. I would remove the spark plugs and spray a little wd 40 in each spark plug hole. The rings could have seized to the cylinder walls and if so the wd 40 should help to lubricate them. Try turning by hand again with plugs out. Also remove all the belts off front of engine just in case something else might be causing the engine to not turn over.
7 Months is not a really long time to set up but it is possible the rings are frozen. If they are, you are lucky it didn't start. I prefer Marvel Mystery Oil over WD40 for engine work. You didn't give any history on the car as to how it ran before parking, why it was parked for so long, etc. How about some more info please.
never use wd-40 on anything were you need oil to be it will wash it off, next if it just clicks it could be the solenoid or battery cable connection, or engine is still froze I agree with the other guy that should not be long enough to freeze up, I have started engines that set 3 or 4 years with a fresh battery and some new gas, something else is going on
