Car almost didn’t start.

Asked by BoozookaRob Jul 18, 2020 at 02:50 AM about the 2016 Chevrolet Sonic LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got a check engine light on for a couple of
codes. 1 is p0171 for fuel trim lean and the
others are about the evap p0496 I think. I just
went and filled up my car and it almost didn’t
start, I pressed on the gas after my second try
on the ignition start up and it started. I put in
my reader and I check some of the readers or
levels and it said my field trim long is like 30%
and my short fuel trim is jump in between five
and 10%. When I drive me now any time
between 10 miles an hour and 65 my fuel
trims normal back out close to 10% and 0%.
I’ve also noticed that my gas runs out faster.
I’ve had a. Couple of mishaps were the car
almost didn’t start up. I’ve done a little bit of
search about if I need to change like the purge
canister solenoid or valve I don’t know if that’ll
work. Helping anybody out there ends up
knowing or at least have had problems like
this before thank you
