low coolant 2016 chevy equinox

Asked by Geoff Jul 28, 2020 at 06:44 PM about the 2016 Chevrolet Equinox LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2016 Equinox 2.4 litre has been experiencing low coolant levels. I don't see
any leaks on my driveway, no blue smoke out the tail pipe. Took it to dealer
who pressure tested the cooling system, let it run for 20 minutes straight. No
leaks.  Why is the coolant level going down?

it's bad news maybe. my guess is that you have a crack in the block somehow and it seeps through the crack and goes out with exhaust. I have the same problem with my work truck. The EGR cooler keeps eating the coolant and so there is no drips or evidence that the coolant is missing but the sensors keep crying it's missing coolant. Rather annoying BUT it's a diesel which your car is not. good luck
