Subaru hatchback door not opening

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The hatchback door of my 4yr old Outback will open about 1 inches, then stops
& will not open all the way. I can force it open the rest of the way then the auto
close button works to close it all the way. Any ideas how to open it without going
to the dealer? Thanks.
